THIS SUNDAY: 140 FILMMAKERS in 140 LOCATIONS shooting 140 SECONDS

BRING IT ON! This Sunday 140 Filmmakers in 140 Location are each shooting 140 Seconds of footage in what has become a Twitter fiesta!

Many minds have joined a general discourse regarding whether Twitter/Facebook/etc have aided or ass-ended communal creativity. Frank Kelly - an Irish filmmaker/playwright/photographer - and a dear friend, has been twittering-off his proverbial for some time now. Is he obsessed? Put it this way... when his wife wants his attention a tweet is as good as a shout. Sometimes better.

Frank conceptualized the idea - twitter forces a construct on its tweeters to:
- update their status; and
- comment on the world; and
- add everything to the world's wonders; and/or
- add nothing to their environment
IN 140 CHARACTERS!

So, with that construct, that limitation, that direction, what could a group of filmmakers, united by this virtual community, create?

The answer will come out of what each of us, in our corners of the globe, shoot this Sunday. The collective work will then be sculpted by the plucky Irishman into a feature. Frank had an idea that took place on the world stage, and the idea is about to come to fruition because of the ease with which the world's communication barriers have been bent by the digital dialogue.

As for me. I'm ready. BRING. IT. ON!
