Welcome to THE NATION OF ARTISTS!

This site will become a home for interviews, reviews, recommendations and observations which together will paint an intimate, informative and up-to-date picture of the contemporary art scene. Film, photography, painting, sculputure, illustration, animation, spoken word, poetry, writing, acting - no art form is excluded from The Nation. The Nation's artists will share inside looks into their studios, enlightening all as to their various processes, pains, plans and inspirations.

For artists without representation, The Nation of Artists hopes to provide a safe environment for artists to share their work and to offer it for sale. The Nation is also planning quarterly, competitive, salon-style events in Los Angeles at which emerging artists will compete for critical attention just as they did in the days of Picasso and Modigliani, Cezanne and Gauguin.

Already involved behind the scenes are former magazine editors, gallerists, arts walk organizers and events planners. We can't wait to bring you the best of what's happening in the emerging art world, and enabling you to discover work that speaks to each of you!
